Scholar Profiles from Scholars@Duke can be pulled into your site.
A Scholars List Page will automatically be generated which displays all scholars profiles (by faculty or by student) and can be filtered by category.
Directions below will show how to import Scholars Profiles from an Organization, or Individually.
Once set up, the feed will typically refresh your Scholars data every 1-2 days.

Import Scholars@Duke Profiles from an Organization
FIRST, Get THE Organization URI from Scholars@Duke
1. On the Scholars@Duke site, navigate to Schools and Institutes.
2. Select the organization whose Scholars Profiles you want to import.
3. Copy the 8-digit number from the URL in the browser window.
- For example, the URL for the School of Nursing is https://scholars.duke.edu/organization/50000758/overview
- In this example, copy 50000758
THEN, Add THE Organization to Your Site
(*=required)
1. Go to Content > Scholars@Duke Organizations in the main navigation menu.
2. Click the Add scholars@duke organizations button.
3. Enter the Title* of the organization.
4. Leave the Enabled and Active checkboxes selected.
5. Select the Import Profiles checkbox in order to import all profiles associated with this organization.
6. Enter the 8-digit number from the instructions above, Access Organization URI from Scholars@Duke.
- Then, at the start of that number, add the following text string: https://scholars.duke.edu/individual/org
- For our example organization, you should now see in your URI field the following: https://scholars.duke.edu/individual/org50000758
7. Click Save.
Import Individual Scholars@Duke Profiles
FIRST, ACCESS THE Profile URI from Scholars@Duke
1. On the Scholars@Duke site, navigate to People.
2. Select the person whose Scholars Profile you want to import.
3. Click the Embed Profile Data button.
4. Copy the 7-digit number at the end of the URL in the browser window.
- For example, the URL for Tatjana Abaffy's profile is https://scholars.duke.edu/widgets/builder?uri=https://scholars.duke.edu/individual/per1040112
- In this example, copy 1040112
THEN, Add THE Profile to Your Site
(*=required)
1. Go to Content > Scholars@Duke Profiles in the main navigation menu.
2. Click the Add scholars@duke profile button.
3. Enter the Name* of the profile.
4. In the Scholars@Duke URI field, enter the 7-digit number from the instructions above, Access Profile URI from Scholars@Duke.
- Then, at the start of that number, add the following text string: https://scholars.duke.edu/individual/per
- For our example scholar, you should now see in your URI field the following: https://scholars.duke.edu/individual/per1040112
5. Optionally, you can enter content into the Additional Information field. All other fields will automatically import from Scholars@Duke.
6. Click Save.
